Janiel “JJ “Romer Rosario of Polk State basketball has committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
“I am so proud JJ stuck it out and finished at the level he did in order to be accepted into Texas A&M-Commerce,” said Head Coach Brandon Giles.
“If JJ does what he needs to do in the classroom, which I trust he will, he has an extremely bright future well beyond his college years.”
A sophomore from Hialeah Gardens, Fla, he scored 78 points and grabbed 61 rebounds in 14 games this past season.
The 6-9 forward/center also blocked 15 shots and shot 45.7 percent from the field.
