Five Polk State volleyball players have committed to continuing their athletic and academic careers at four-year schools.

Milexa Cardona will attend Howard University. A sophomore from Orlando, she earned Second Team All Mid-Florida Conference honors in 2019.
She also ranked third in assists (985) and fifth in assists per set (9.12) in FCSAA Division 1.
In August, Mariane Cassiano will head to Auburn University at Montgomery. Last year the sophomore from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, was named to the First Team All Mid-Florida Conference and the NJCAA District/FCSAA State Division 1 All-Tournament Team. She averaged 2.46 kills per set and 2.63 digs per set.
Sophomore Nina Finderle has selected Nichols State University. A native of Umag, Croatia, she ranked second in the FCSAA in block assists (21), sixth in total blocks (110) and tenth in blocks per set (1.05).
Macarena Flores chose Chicago State University. The freshman from Santiago, Chile, averaged 0.93 kills per set and 0.64 digs per set.
A sophomore from Lima, Peru, Aixa Vigil will attend Oral Roberts University. She earned First Team All Mid-Florida Conference and the NJCAA District/FCSAA State Division 1 All-Tournament Team honors in 2019.
She also ranked second in total attacks (1,124), third in service aces (41), third in total points (466.5), third in points per set (4.3), third in kills (394) and fourth in kills per set (3.65) in the FCSAA.
Together these five Eagles helped lead Polk State to its second straight Mid-Florida Conference championship, and a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA D1 Volleyball Championship in Hutchinson, Kan. Polk State ended the regular season 20-1 and ranked No. 1 in the FCSAA and NJCAA.
