Polk County Utilities will be installing new water lines in the North Lakeland area as part of a project to improve the drinking water system for customers in the Northwest Regional Utility Service Area. Corridors that will be affected by the construction activities include North Socrum Loop Road, Tom Costine Road, Old Polk City Road and Walt Williams Road. The work is expected to begin this spring and be completed in early 2022.
Motorists may experience single-lane closures and delays while crews are installing new pipelines in these areas.
