Hi everyone!! I am the Director of Development at TLC PetSnip and I am writing this article in response to some questions about feral/community cat scheduling with us.
FIRST-Thank you all for working with these kitties to get them spayed/neutered and stopping the cycle!!
We are doing our very best to get as many community cats scheduled and cared for as possible. We do ask that you help us with this by scheduling an appointment to hold a spot for surgery. We know that trapping is not predictable, but if you are planning to set a trap please give us notice. We are doing this to avoid any hold-overs and it is for the safety of the kitty. We do not want any cats to stay in a trap longer than absolutely necessary.
We are currently the only organization in Polk that is doing community cat surgeries on a large scale and regular basis. As you can imagine we are having more come in than we can safely accommodate some days and that is why we are asking you to schedule appointments. Especially with groups of three or more kitties. If you have a single kitty that you are trying to trap, please just let us know. Usually, if you are able to plan your trapping schedule we can schedule a day for you and make sure that your kitty is seen.
HERE’S THE GREAT NEWS!! We are expanding our surgery center so that we can provide more feral/community cat surgeries!!!! The renovations are starting in May with scheduled completion in August!!! We will be able to accommodate more cats per day because we are expanding the surgery center and staff.
