Went to Azteca D’Oro by Lakeside village for the first time today, and have to say was not impressed at all. I felt that for the price you are paying, it is very expensive, I really expected more. It felt like a fancified taco bell, which I’m sure taco bell would have tasted better. Here are pics of what we ordered. The Mexican corn was good, but still had too many corn silks and not enough sauce and cheese. I had the virgin strawberry daiquiri with the chimichanga, chile relleno, and enchilada
I asked for plantains instead of rice and beans and the plantains did not appear to be fresh, but frozen and reheated and a little burnt. My dish honestly had no flavor to it…..very underwhelming. The taco dish came out cold and was “reheated”, which means microwaved. The quesadilla was good as the shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. I never mind paying for good food. But this lunch was not worth what they charge. Will not be back. I’ll stick with Mega Mercado or at least at Taco Bell I get what I pay for.
