We decided to go to Outback in Lakeland on the Southside to celebrate my husband’s birthday. That was the biggest mistake and so very disappointing! Wasted a birthday dinner date night for sure!
Sadly I feel like our experience was worse because the server acted like she hated her job and absolutely made no effort to make our visit pleasurable AT ALL! I hate having to ask for a server for needs but when you don’t come check on your table it becomes very aggravating real fast.
I told her it was my husband’s birthday from the get go and wanted to enjoy our free dessert and he getting sang to. She gave us the desert options and we patiently waited well after we finished dinner (almost just wanted to leave was the dessert really worth it being free???)
My husband did enjoy his fried chicken dinner, me on the other hand ribs where dry and tough and they told me as they laid the ribs on my table that they ran out of baked potatoes and for me to choose something else… HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN??
I was able to speak with management and he magically brought me out a baked potatoe almost immediately.
After receiving the check I even noticed that I was charged for our “free” birthday dessert… Yeah I won’t return. Thanks Outback — at Outback Steakhouse (5255 South Florida Avenue, Lakeland, FL).
