“Studies show” that there would be less traffic impact with the Proposed 244-unit apartment project than with the hypothetical possibility of some 40,000 sq ft commercial establishment that the Lk Miriam land is currently zoned for. How do you do a study on two entities that don’t yet exist, especially when one is the WORST CASE SCENARIO?
So, if the Lakeland City Commissions are choosing between those two EVILS, it is still EVIL.
Would you vote to stay in an abusive relationship because there could be someone worse out there?
That’s the reason for choosing high-density apartments because commercial could be worse.
