“STAY WOKE” offended the parents who attended the Class of 2021 Graduation Ceremony. Therefore, the video will never be posted because it will reveal the heart of the school.
Nothing says racism and division like “STAY WOKE”.
Mark Thomas, Principal at VCA, was quoted in an article about the “WOKE” school.
“Well, to start off, what I knew about private school was mostly stereotypical. I assumed private schools were predominantly for wealthy, white families. After working at Victory for a few weeks, I really noticed how SIMILAR it was to a PUBLIC SCHOOL. The student body was representative of the diverse environment that is Polk County.”
“I can’t speak for other schools, but at Victory, we have created a setting where it looks like a public school and functions similarly. Our school is accredited by the same agency that accredits public schools.”
“I have found that at Victory, both at the teaching and administrative levels, our school has total control over our curriculum, policies, and classroom management. Trying to figure out what students need is very simple if you are working directly with them. In Florida public schools, the school board and superintendents are often too far removed from the schools to know what they need individually. Instead, each school is treated virtually the same despite each one being different.”
VCA has total power and control over each individual student, therefore, making each situation an exception to the rule. With that being said, why are there rules if you are not going to follow them as leaders? When there are so many exceptions to a rule, is there a rule left? If you have that much control and no board to help with decisions, then absolute power is absolute corruption.
Since this is SIMILAR TO A PUBLIC SCHOOL, why do parents spend thousands of dollars a year on tuition? Shouldn’t the school be free as a public school since it is being governed like one? Maybe the school does not have as much control as they think, since the majority of their tuition comes from CHOICE SCHOLARSHIPS. It has once been said, that you are a slave to your debtor, follow the money trail, and you will find who you are enslaved by.
Mark Thomas quotes at the end of the article, “Out of all the things that people have tried to do, the most positive thing I’ve seen is this opportunity for choice.”
In the Garden of Eden, we were presented with the opportunity of choice, and as humans, I don’t think that choice was the most positive thing for us.
Since VCA has finally admitted that it is very similar to a PUBLIC SCHOOL, it’s not surprising that the Headmaster, her family, students, teachers, and coaches participated in the BLM rally in Lakeland.

If you drive on the property, you will find vapes tossed onto the ground and run over by the other vehicles. These don’t belong to the parents. Is there drug use (marijuana) going on since there is vaping?
“Wear your mask” was the mantra during the last year and a half, but they do not drug test their athletes.
Over the years, used condoms have been found outside the classrooms, parking lot, and weight room. The employees and students have seen them, reported them, and NOTHING was ever mentioned to the parents.
Attending the football games can be enlightening when you see a female who “left the school” quietly during her junior or senior year and has a baby with her at the game. Why do you think she is at the game? To see the father of her baby play the game, of course.
This is all about numbers, money, and politics. If a female is pregnant, she is expelled immediately because you can’t tell if the boy is a father.
Where is the teaching of a family unit at VCA? All babies are a gift from God and they never asked to be born, but the school must reiterate that God said to save yourselves for marriage between a husband and a wife. The school needs to teach responsibility when a baby enters their young lives.
I wonder how many abortions have occurred with VCA students? Abortion is murder and NEVER an option. Remember, this is SIMILAR to a PUBLIC SCHOOL.
Also, a young female teacher was having private tutoring after school and on the weekends AT HER PRIVATE RESIDENCE with one-on-one tutoring. She also has had numerous students at her residence, taking pictures in her bedroom, and posting them on social media.
It has come to light that this teacher was “let go” several weeks ago. A sex video is in the possession of numerous students at VCA, and the video came to the forefront and exposed the truth. The teacher was having sex with the one male student in her home, allegedly 18 but still a high school student. Parents still do not know why this teacher suddenly leaves at the very end of the school year. It was a quiet and fast exit.
If sex education classes weren’t taught in schools and were taught at home, then the curiosity wouldn’t be there. It is not the school’s decision to tell your child about sex. It is obvious that you never want VCA teaching your child about sex!
Are there any other secrets that VCA is hiding about teachers and staff? What do the students know that the parents do not know? Are students afraid to speak the truth or is everything acceptable since it is SIMILAR TO A PUBLIC SCHOOL?

The school is associated with the Assemblies of God and is being exposed because they HIDE the “sins” which are crimes. In the early ’90s Victory employed a children’s pastor “Cousin Keith” who molested children in the restrooms. Currently, there are allegations of a VCA male administrator who is following young men into the restrooms.

I would never send any child to this school. This is appalling and sickening. The church is connected with the school as well, which just disturbs me to my core! Have authorities been notified about the teacher having sex or about the drugs in the school? What is going on at this facility?!

Victory Christian Academy Seniors expelled for drug use on campus, but still graduating with Class of 2022. Why? They broke the law and the school Code of Ethics. Why weren’t there criminal charges for drug possession on a school campus with minors?
Former Security Guard commits suicide with gun at home unexpectedly; School and church state that he died from a heart attack and then covid all in the same day. Students, families and friends were lied too at the memorial service, and now many know the truth because the truth was posted on Facebook by a family member. What secret was going on in this situation? Many are still shocked at the suicidal death and are still perplexed, because it was a jolt to the soul.
Children rebel no matter what school they are in, and this generation is the MOST PHOTOGRAPHED. They have duplicate accounts, use Snapchat and other apps to communicate. Parents are not looking at their child’s phone, as they should. Underage drinking is against the law in the state. Drug use and possession is a crime. Whether on campus or off, it is illegal.
I recognize the girl with the bottle of alcohol…. it is Lemmond’s daughter. He is a teacher at VCA. I wonder if he saw the video and pictures of his daughter?!
Why is the school’s website down? Their links are showing this as fact.
What will happen to the students in the photos drinking and with cigars? They are breaking the law and school ethics code of conduct that they signed.
Do these kids know that social media is 100% public. They only have themselves to blame! If you do not want anyone to know what you are doing, then do not put your life out there for the world to see. No one can be blamed except for those in the photos!
After reading this article and the other articles through the Lakeland Gazette about this church, I feel like someone has a vendetta against the church. All the articles are written in away to hurt the church and it’s people. If these things did happen and they are covering it up then Pastors and Administration needs to step down. But the manner of how it’s being told is not news but a sounding board for a disgruntled person in the school or church.
After reading all of the articles, I would think that a change in Administration is needed. A Christian school is not a public school. People are attacking others all because of poor administration and children posting their non-Christian lifestyle on social media. The ones to blame are the ones photographed. This school is supposed to be following the Bible and not government. Be sure your sins will find you out. Do not lie, because the truth will be revealed. Do not do something and post on social media if you know that God does not approve, or the school, or your parents!
