Imagine your children going to a Private Christian School only to find out it is being run by a Headmaster who believes in abortion, believes in defunding the police, believes in climate change & science over God, and is a participant of protests against our sitting United States President!
Based on the information in this article, it is a fair assessment that Karla Collins, Headmaster at VCA, supports all of the above.
On May 31, Karla Collins photos were all over social media as she and her family marched at the BLM rally in Lakeland, wearing her VCA visor while marching with the Victory logo on her sign stating that ‘MY BLACK STUDENTS LIVES MATTER’. Even the football coach at VCA, Coach Kendrick Stewart, approved. We know that BLM goes against EVERYTHING that VCA believes in and stands for.
BLM states on their website that they are pro-abortion with ‘OPERATION SCALE UP THAT WILL TRANSFORM ABORTION FUNDING’. They believe that ‘Roe V Wade has never been enough’. BLM wants to defund the police because they dehumanize black lives. BLM affirms the lives of ‘black queer and trans folk, disabled, and undocumented folks.’ This is all noted on their website blacklivesmatter.com and abortionfunds.org.
The Christian School, VCA, believes in PROLIFE, heterosexual marriage (marriage between one man & one woman), and they support the police departments with respect, and the US Constitution. VCA is not to look at the color of a child’s skin, and each child should be respected and treated equally. We are all created in the image of God. They believe that there are 2 genders, male and female. There is no other gender and no changing genders. They believe that the Bible is the infallible, authoritative word of God. Stated on vcaonline.org and ag.org.
Karla Collins has brought racial division and inequality into this ‘Christian’ School. She has brought chaos, stress, tension, and confusion into the school, individual classrooms, and student relationships. She does NOT treat the students fairly. She is racist and favors the black students over the white students. Favoritism shows with the rules of dress code that is obvious with hairstyle, dress, and conduct. The rules apply to some and not all.
The VCA website states that if any administrator fails to report misconduct which affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student that they can be TERMINATED. Karla Collins must be TERMINATED!
Her Facebook page has an inappropriate picture with little boys’ underwear and little girls’ underwear with masks. She is the HEADMASTER over CHILDREN at a CHRISTIAN SCHOOL! This is completely inappropriate.
Her Facebook page has a picture of her and her husband at Senor Frogs after they had fajitas on a cruise vacation. Senor Frogs is the BIGGEST PARTY BAR THAT SERVES ALCOHOL AND PLAYS THE LOUDEST SECULAR MUSIC and is entirely INAPPROPRIATE for a ‘Christian’ Headmaster to go into. This is hypocritical to what the school stands for. Alcohol is not allowed by any staff member at VCA or Victory Church.
Also on her Facebook page, there is a post on Oct 6 from ‘March for Science’ about masks. ‘MARCH FOR SCIENCE’ believes in the Green New Deal, Science is the truth, believe that herd immunity will result in more deaths, and they support the protests against Donald J. Trump. This is on marchforscience.org, wikipedia.org and their own Facebook page.
When it comes to ‘March For Science ‘, Victory Christian Academy does not believe in climate change and science. The Assemblies of God which VCA is a part of believes in ‘The Doctrine of Creation’ as stated on their website ag.org.
Karla Collins has brought her liberal views into VCA and the school should just be called ‘Victory Academy’ because there are ZERO CHRISTIAN VIEWS in this school today. They do not have the Pledge to the Christian Flag, nor do they have morning prayer during announcements. The Christian curriculum has slowly been taken out of some of the classrooms, and some teachers have stopped praying in their individual classrooms. In one of the Economic classes, tithing wasn’t a topic because a Christian curriculum isn’t being used!
Karla Collins wants to mask up the school and not listen to the Governor of Florida who stated that we are in PHASE 3 and masks are not mandatory stated Sept 27th. State guidelines do NOT require students to wear masks at school and this was stated September 14, 2020. The attorneys for the City of Lakeland said that the mask mandate has expired, as of October 5th, due to the Governor’s EXECUTIVE ORDER AND PHASE 3 OPENING GUIDELINES. Masks can be encouraged but NOT MANDATED. This came from the City of Lakeland’s Mayors Office. The article from LKLDNOW stated that ‘the city has relied on SOCIAL PRESSURE FOR COMPLIANCE….’ Karla Collins is doing the same with the students and families at VCA! She is using liberal social pressure on the families and students when it is NOT a law and it is NOT mandatory!
Karla Collins is a proud supporter of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris who believes in everything that Karla believes, and everything that the Christian School and Church is against. Karla Collins lives in a gated community and thought that no one would ever be in her upscale neighborhood. Well, someone was visiting her neighborhood and saw her house with a Biden 2020 sign in the front yard.
It’s fine to vote ….. but when you vote against EVERYTHING that the Christian School and Church are founded on and believes, and you are employed by the Christian School and you do not believe in the same…..IT’S TIME FOR HER TO FIND NEW EMPLOYMENT IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE HER LIBERAL AND SOCIALIST VIEWS ARE NOT WELCOMED AT VCA!
Parents are paying a high tuition for a ‘Christian’ education at VCA, but sadly the education and values are that of a government run school. VCA has become an extremely poor representation since the employment of Karla Collins.

As a parent, I am concerned. I am paying for a Christian education and now I see that the Headmaster doesn’t believe in what my family believes. I thought VCA was affiliated with the Assemblies of God? And another thing, Teri is an employee of VCA and this troubles me and my wife knowing that she just encouraged us to leave. I have prayed over this and feel that Mrs. Collins should resign since her beliefs are not in alignment with the word of God.

This is my child’s first year at VCA and I can tell you the spiritual element is out of this world incredible. He comes home and wants to read his Bible, every day! He tells me about different stories from the Bible that he learned (as if he’s schooling me). I’ve been so impressed with Karla’s care and concern for our society.

When you demonstrate or show support for a specific organization it is an intentional act and shows people that you support them. That you believe in their agenda, beliefs and fundamental rights of that organization. You cannot believe in parts of the Bible and not all of the Bible yet call yourself a Christian. Karla stands up for her students, American students, at Victory there is no color, it’s boys and girls. So if she was at an event that had some of her students there she was going to support them. 6. Being a Christian school all classes should be based on Godly principles and values. American government class / economics study where students had produce a work sheet for building a new home. NO where on the sheet did they ever mention tithes or giving which is christian economics 101. Tithing and giving is the 1st thing I’ve taught my children at a very young age. Why is it that this information provided by the teacher whom is under Karla Collins was no where to be found?

Most of whom were obtained directly from social media of Karla Collins, photos of her and her home. Christianity and Christian education is not about a buddy system as displayed here from her friends or students blinded by her bearing of false witness. As a former VCA teacher, who no longer lives in the area,, I have to agree with this article. Her first day as Headmaster I was told never to involve the pastors with any matters at the school, especially Pastor Dan, because she didn’t need him in her business. She runs the school. That was my first red flag. The second red flag was the name calling of certain families and the gossiping in the office. The third red flag was being reprimanded infront of a student and parent when I was not in the wrong. I am not giving my name because I know how evil Karla Collins can be if you do not agree with her and her liberal views. I stayed in my room, like the other teachers so that we didn’t have any interaction with her.. I didn’t go to the pastors because I needed a recommendation for my future endeavors. I will tell you that I’ve had children at Victory Christian Academy longer than most teachers/admin who work there. For 20 consecutive years, I’ve had kids in Victory. As one commenter above mentioned, I’ve been there since the Lisa Coscia days – and while I adore Lisa – Karla Collins has made a tremendous difference at Victory Christian Academy.
Karla is a nice Christian person. Karla does not and has not ever stated she supports the formal organization of Black Lives Matter…the organization that wants to defund police. What her sign says is that her “Black students lives matter”. That is NOT the same thing. And stop saying All Lives Matter…of course they do! All she is saying is that her black students matter just as equal as her white students. Let’s pretend we are all eating at Longhorns…and you’re having a heart attack and at the same time I fell and broke my arm. The EMS ambulance comes. They rush to work on you first because you are having a heart attack. That doesn’t mean that my life is not just as important but AT THAT MOMENT IN TIME, your medical need is much more severe than mine. At the time of this sign at Munn Park, it was during a time when black lives were in need of being acknowledged. It does not mean she wants police defunded. Karla has a deep appreciation for law enforcement and has them on campus daily.
My child had a racial issue some time ago and Karla jumped in quick and handled it immediately. She does not care who it is, she will not tolerate racism or harassments of any kind under her watch. I’m not sure how you can question her leadership when you read the comment from student “Jazi” above. That child posted more intelligence in her one response than all 48 comments here. It’s easy to see the Love of Jesus in that comment. That comes from the great job from the administration at Victory Christian.
Karla Collins does not appear to be a Biden supporter. Can you all not use the internet? You can clearly look up any persons registered affiliation as a matter of PUBLIC record. Karla Collins has been a registered REPUBLICAN since 1997! If you take the time to just do a little “investigation” and peep around her page, you would see that an Uncle had placed the sign in her yard without her knowledge. How many of you use your garage to go in and out and don’t see your front yard for a few days at a time? The last election of 2016, I took a lot of Hillary signs (about 20 of them) and placed them all in my mothers yard as a harmless joke since she’s a Republican and hardcore Trump supporter. So what!
Let’s talk about politics and Victory for a minute. My children have learned the Bible backwards and forward at Victory. My kids have also learned a lot at Victory regarding this election and politics. My kids are being led towards Biblical conservative views at Victory, so you all are commenting without facts.
As for her photo in front of Senor Frogs…we’ve all take the Bahamas cruise and that’s one of the first and only restaurant by straw market when you get off the boat to eat at. I eat at places all the time that serve alcohol….it doesn’t mean that I drink it! Do none of you not EVER go to Longhorn? Chili’s, etc…? The world is what it is. You all are just NOT acting much like Jesus right now.
To hit on the topic of the writer for the “wash your mask like your underwear” post from Karla’s Facebook page and accuse her in a way with children…. that’s an extremely low hit below the belt. Are you serious? I shared that underwear/mask post too! It’s funny. WASH YOUR MASK, they get dirty!
And let’s talk about the masks….I was notified about the teacher Coronavirus case at the school. The teacher was immediately sent to quarantine as are any students who may get sick. This is WHY masks are important. If that teacher had not been wearing a mask, he could’ve exposed so many students. If there weren’t masks, my kids would not have the chance at real school during this pandemic. Schools and colleges which have not utilized masks have had to close their doors from so many students becoming ill. And since I also work in a healthcare sector, let’s talk about that too. You state Coronavirus deaths are at 6% – which you are not correct. But let’s assume you are for the sake of time. What you are not realizing is that a much higher percentage of people get sick enough to require medical care and hospitalization. Just because it doesn’t kill you, does not mean that you would not need some sort of treatment such as oxygen and medications for a short hospital stay. Stop comparing this to the flu. It’s not the flu. The flu doesn’t typically send someone with renal disease, or diabetes, or high blood pressure to the hospital for care…or kill them. The percentages of serious illness and long lasting/permanent effects are higher. Regardless as to what the Governor opens up, Victory Christian Academy as a private school has a duty and responsibility to keep our kids safe from this virus! Don’t be fooled…our Governor opened back up our State in Phase 3 because he had to, not because it’s any safer for you! They cannot allow the economy to completely tank when it’s been proven if people wear masks properly, it cuts down on the transmission rate. Wearing a mask keeps your germs with you. The Governor did not say not to wear a mask; he said to follow the CDC guidelines – which is to wear a mask for protection. The viral load of Coronavirus is 3-5 days before it’s detectable in your blood and before it will even show up on a test. For those 3-5 days, you are shedding the virus and spreading it. These ARE known facts and Science – which God created these Scientists with a gift to be able to learn and understand this virus. You all obviously haven’t listened to Pastor Blackburn’s messages regarding not having fear, but using wisdom! I want you two disgruntled ladies – who wrote this in an effort to completely compromise Karla’s character over silly mask use – to ask your doctors not to wear any masks the next time they do surgery on you since you believe they don’t work. Just tell them you’re feeling frisky and they don’t need to keep their germs to themselves. And for people to believe mask wearers aren’t Christian or Republican is asinine.
Have you asked Karla if she believes in abortion? You assumed she did because of a Biden sign someone placed in her yard. Why didn’t you look up her voter status and assume she doesn’t believe in abortion by being a Republican and working with children?
Lastly, let’s talk about Bullying. Because that is what this truly is. Besides knowing Karla is a Christian, seeing her consistently sit in church about 8 rows behind me, dealing with her at the school, and being a very involved parent in that school, she is without a doubt a Christian. But she is also a human. A human that God gave life to. A human that was born on American soil, as an American citizen, with her RIGHT to vote any way she wants! Who are you to dictate WHO she can vote for? Our jobs do not define WHO we have to vote for. That’s NONE of your business and you are bullying her because you think she voted for Biden and uses masks at school?? You people have way too much time on your hands and ARE part of the problem with the division in this country! STOP using God as your excuse to bullying someone else. You don’t get to do that! Other parents and EVERY administrator in that school knows that I’m an extremely conservative parent that doesn’t tolerate any mess and and this is mess! If these accusations were true, I’d be the first to agree and back up your complaints in this article! But I will always stand up for what is right and fair. I’m ashamed of you ladies. You all are bullying this woman mixed in with libel against her character, this school, and the administration.
Please do not make me call you out to the real press. I’ll take this much further than the Lakeland Gazette through a formal complaint through our company and you both know this to be true! I’ll even the playing field if you do not stop your harassments of this woman, the school, the church, the pastors, and the administration. You’ve taken your “feelings” over masks way too far, and that’s enough. Bullying No Way! isn’t just for kids.
If she is your enemy, you need to pray for her as the Bible instructs. We are to Love one another just as Christ Loves us. Jesus ate with, drank wine with, and prayed for his enemies and those who were against him. Let’s be more like Jesus!
