Employees feel that they are not appreciated anymore, so the City of Lakeland has fixed the hurt feelings!
Every day is Employee Appreciation Day for managers desperate to keep workers in Lakeland! This was the final decision made by the mayor and city commissioners this week.
All employees in the city limits will receive the following every day:
*Breakfast of their choice from any restaurant within the city limits, before their shift.
*Lunch of their choice from any restaurant within the city limits, during their shift.
*1.5-hour paid lunch break.
*Dinner of their choice from any restaurant within the city limits, including immediate family members every evening.
The following will be given to the employees to show our appreciation:
*Birthday paid time off with the purchase of a birthday gift valued at no more than $500.00.
*Anniversary of legal marriage paid time off for 3 days, with a paid getaway valued at no more than $2k.
*Child’s birthday paid time off with a paid venue for birthday party up to 50 people in attendance, valued at no more than $5k.
*All funerals with proof of photos paid time off, and a bottle of alcohol of your choice valued at no more than $100.00.
And, the final appreciation days will be: (We will highlight a few since there are too many to list!)
*National Stocking Day.
*Take your parents to the playground day.
*National chocolate chip day
*National piercing day.
*National BBQ day.
*National American craft beer day.
*Pack Rat Day.
*National no dirty dishes day.
