Hello everyone! Ashley here AKA The Twisted Mixer, an event bartending service. I wanted to start my new column off with my favorite recipe. This is my famous sangria that I have been bringing to parties for years. This recipe is so simple with 2 secrets that make it delicious!!
Many years ago, I was the bar manager of a small Italian restaurant where I learned how to make the best sangria. Since then, I have tweaked the recipe to make it my own. Remember, this is a party-sized recipe!
Mix this one up with caution: if you bring this sangria to a party you will find yourself invited to more parties! I hope you all enjoy:
Ashley’s famous sangria:
Secret #1: You have to make this recipe a day ahead to allow the ingredients to marry together in the refrigerator.
1 full sized bottle (1.5 lt.) red wine, I prefer Riunite Lambrusco
1 full sized bottle (1.5 lt.) white wine, I prefer Riunite Moscato
2 cups of fruit flavored brandy, whatever flavor you like
2 cups of orange juice
2 cups of water
Secret #2: 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon. Trust me, It’s delicious!!
Mix everything together and allow to sit overnight. Serve with fruit over ice. Enjoy Responsibly!!
