Please send us good wishes and prayers for four 7-week-old kittens we recently took to the rescue. Mimosa, Martini, Mojito, and Manhattan were found in the truck cab by a man who recently bought a used pick-up.
Yesterday, they went to the vet and tested positive for Panleukopenia and Coccidia. Ugh! They’re all malnourished, notice the triangle-shaped faces, and are very much underweight for their age. They all have good appetites but have acute diarrhea. So, everything that goes in comes right back out without providing much nutrition. The kittens are in quarantine while they’re receiving daily subc fluids, Ponazuril, and injections of Cerenia and Enrofloxacin. It is an uphill battle to work to save this litter. The good news is they’re active and have good appetites so we will work hard to get them to a healthy state. Donations would be greatly appreciated to help with yesterday’s vet bill which was $548 for the four kittens.
