It is not an easy thing to be a teacher. It needs to come from inside, just studying how to teach is not enough to be a teacher.
Jonathan Oliver, P.E. teacher at WG Nunn Elementary in Valdosta, Georgia, went viral after his action that got captured while coaching a kid’s basketball game.
When his student, little Kristen Paulk, asked his help for her hair to tie it, his response and mimics stole hearts.
He immediately took a knee and started to tie her hair in a ponytail as he was smiling doing it.
Kandice Anderson, another teacher from WG Nunn Elementary, had captured the moment as Jonathan helped his student Kristen.
“When your job goes beyond teaching!” captioned the video that went viral.
Good Morning America reached to the teacher and spoke.
“It was shocking to me that it got that much attention because we all do it,” he said.
“We teachers want to make them feel like they’re at home and that they enjoy being here,”
“We try to love on them as much as possible. To me, it was just a ponytail.”
“It was a good thing she asked for a ponytail. Anything else, I’d say, ‘You better ask your mom,’”
Little girl’s mother, Miyah Cleckley, said that,
“I always know that Kristen is in very good hands with him. I thought it was really cute because her father he does their hair a lot. We have five girls and one son so when I’m working he has to pick up the weight of doing their hair.”
