Available for adoption are Sedona and Oliver. These two beauties are 3 to 4 years old and in need of a new home ASAP. Sadly, the owner recently passed away from ovarian cancer and left 3 cats. Her family who resides in Maryland, has pretty much washed their hands of the situation.
Unbelievably, they informed one of the neighbors, before returning home, that their sister has 3 cats who need to be relocated. Three neighbors and the owner’s boyfriend have been caring for the cats over the past two weeks. They miss their owner terribly so the neighbors have been spending a great deal of time with the cats to keep them socialized and from getting depressed.
We were contacted for help with rehoming them. Fortunately, the family donated funds to have the two cats vetted for adoption. They both will be going to the clinic next week to have their vaccines updated and microchips implanted so we can place them up for adoption.
The third cat, Reesie, is a super-sweet, 16-year-old blind tortoiseshell cat who also needs a home immediately. The neighbors are in the midst of contacting a cat hospice home in Tampa in hopes they will accept her.
