Incident Description
At 9:00AM on February 1, 2024, we received a call of a possible broken forcemain at 2020 W. 10th Street. City crews responded to the site and verified the leak. Additional crews were called in and the upstream pump station was shut down and maintained with vactor trucks. City crew repaired the line and returned it back into service at 1:00PM. Approximately 2,500 gallons was spilled which entered a ditch which flows into a wetlands area. There was no recovery. The area was washed down when the job was completed. No Waters of the State were impacted.
