Incident Description
Force main line break discovered on fatigued fitting at coordinates given after resident complaint. Reached out to third party contractor to help facilitate immediate line repair. After planning and mobilization, we contracted third party tanker trucks to assist in keeping up with surrounding lift station flows while force main was isolated for repairs. After successful repairs were made and backfill complete, cleanup efforts commenced. Amount discharged was calculated to be 130,000 gallons with 30,000 recovered by our vac truck and disposed of at Allred WWTP. Area was also raked and lime applied to affected areas. Surface waters were also affected as spill reached an adjacent unnamed creek. Turbidity barriers and signs have also been installed as a precaution. Sampling results and pictures to follow up. * Line break discovered 2/6/24 @ 1100 and ceased 2/6/24 @ 2000.
