This groundbreaking decision is part of a wider initiative to promote eco-friendly transportation methods and boost local wildlife engagement.
Dubbed “Gator Rides,” this program aims to utilize Florida’s abundant alligator population as a means of transportation. The governor, in a press conference held beside a scenic swamp, announced, “Why not make use of the natural resources we have in abundance? Plus, it’s 100% emission-free!”
The plan has been met with mixed reactions. Enthusiasts of the program are already designing waterproof saddles and GPS trackers for the alligators, while skeptics raise concerns about the safety and practicality of riding a large reptile to their next destination.
In response to safety concerns, the governor assured, “Every gator will undergo rigorous training and a background check. We want to ensure they’re friendly and have a clean record – no prior incidents of tail-whipping or unauthorized snacking on tourists.”
