Days after Governor Ron DeSantis signed a new law on age restrictions for exotic dances, an appeals court is taking up the issue.
The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals is hearing a challenge on June 6 to a similar restriction passed in Jacksonville.
A panel will decide whether or not a city ordinance barring dancers under the age of 21 in adult establishments, violates First Amendment rights.
This all comes as a new state law goes into effect on June 1 that is nearly identical to the Jacksonville ordinance.
