Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a brush fire off Regel Loop in Mulberry

#PCFR crews’ initial tone was for a structure fire at 4:34 p.m. Upon the arrival of the first crew less than a minute later, they noted that it was a brush fire with multiple threatened structures. Crews worked quickly to temporarily evacuate the occupants of six residences in the path of the fire while others got water on the fire at 4:39 p.m.

Thanks to the crew’s quick actions, no residences were damaged excluding a detached shed. The fire came under control at 4:53 p.m. with no reported injuries.
