On Monday, July 1, 2024, around 10 a.m., officers stopped Luis Arroyo of Tampa (age 31) for a traffic infraction in the 1000 block of West Memorial Boulevard. Arroyo was visibly nervous and his vehicle smelled like marijuana.
With the assistance of K9 DARLA, officers located a box containing numerous baggies of illegal narcotics and cash. The baggies were tested and found to contain cocaine and fentanyl. Due to the weight and packaging, Arroyo was charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell, Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Conveyance for Purpose of Trafficking in A Controlled Substance.
