The tombstone and gravesite you see in these photos are at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Lakeland.
It is the memorial for PCSO Deputy J. Edd Harrelson who was killed in the line of duty back on December 21, 1926–almost 98 years ago! And it is really showing its age.
The fine folks at Lakeland Memorial Gardens not only cleaned up the memorial for free, but they got it looking brand new. What an incredible job, and an amazing gesture.
This is yet another great example of the greatness of living in Polk County, Florida.
