Incident Description
On February 25, 2025 at 11:10 AM we received a phone call about a possible sewer leak at the intersection of Wabash and 10th Street. City crews responded and found a force main leaking. Crews turned off the pump station at 12:00 PM and proceeded to make the repair. The line was put back into service at 2:45 PM. The area was cleaned and initial restoration was completed at 9:00 PM. Approximately 2,000 gallons was released and 1,500 recovered. The remaining volume entered into storm drains and into a ditch leading to wetlands area. Samples are being collected.
