On March 2, 2025, at 2:24 a.m. LakelandPD officers were called to a traffic crash with injuries in the 4200 block of New Tampa Highway. Following the crash, the driver of the at-fault vehicle ran into a nearby wooded area, leaving his disoriented and injured passenger to be cared for by the driver of the other vehicle. When officers arrived, they retrieved the fleeing driver, Morris Foster, and soon found the reason for his untimely departure. Inside Foster’s vehicle, officers discovered 75.24 grams of MDMA, 38.92 grams of Methamphetamine, 2.82 grams of Fentanyl, 10.32 grams of Crack Cocaine, 4.27 grams of powdered Cocaine, 10 Oxycodone pills, a digital scale and boxes of plastic baggies.
Foster was arrested and charged with Trafficking in MDMA, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Sell, Possession of Over 20 grams of Cannabis, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Injury without Rendering Aide, and Driving While License Suspended or Revoked.
