Beginning Monday, August 4, 2025, CSX will initiate critical infrastructure improvements at multiple railroad crossings throughout the Lakeland area. These upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to enhance safety and maintain the reliability of the rail line.
Each affected crossing will be closed for approximately three days while crews complete the necessary repairs. Work at each location will include track replacement, repaving, and asphalt curing before the crossing can safely reopen to traffic.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes, follow posted detour signs, and exercise caution when driving near construction zones. CSX has coordinated this work with local agencies to minimize disruption and aims to complete construction in the school zone areas prior to the first day of school on Monday, August 11, 2025.
