Citrus Connection’s Squeeze microtransit service will run Fridays & Saturdays until 2 a.m. — giving night owls, @floridasouthern idasouthern students, and downtown visitors a free, safe, and reliable ride home. 
Whether you’re leaving a concert, grabbing a late-night bite, or enjoying adult beverages with friends, The Squeeze is your ticket to a safe evening out.
“We’ll provide a safe evening out and… directly reinvest tax dollars into taking people to area businesses while boosting the local economy,” said Citrus Connection GM Tom Phillips. “It’s a win for Lake Morton residents, downtown residents, 3,500 @floridasouthern students, and our downtown businesses. Everybody wins.”

This is a great service, and I applaud Lakeland for offering this to the population. Thanks for that. I live on Palmetto and hear these carts going past my house in the morning and evenings, whenever there is an event, and they are VERY noisy. I am not sure that I am enthusiastic about having them run through our residential area until 2am. I am hoping that they can find actual ELECTRIC carts that do not make as much noise as these current carts do.
