Cookie Groover contacted the Sheriff’s Office regarding a request for Grady Judd to attend the next Polk County Commissioners Meeting to address the growing concerns surrounding the Polk County Animal Shelter.
The County Commissioners have told citizens to take these concerns directly to the Sheriff — so Cookie Groover followed up to find out how the public can formally invite him.

Sheriff Grady Judd,
We are formally requesting your presence at the Polk County Commissioners Meeting on December 16th, 2025, at 9:00 AM, located at 330 W. Church Street, Bartow, Florida 33830.
The Polk County citizens and all animal advocates have been directed by the County Commissioners to bring our concerns regarding the Polk County Animal Shelter and the urgent need for protective ordinances directly to you. We respectfully request your presence to hear and address the community’s grievances.
