Watson Clinic Psychiatry specialist John “Worth” Hopkins, DO recently achieved his subspecialty board-certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. This distinction reflects the expert levels of knowledge, judgement and skills he’s demonstrated in this field. Dr. Hopkins previously achieved board-certification in General Psychiatry from the same organization.
Dr. Hopkins specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults from Watson Clinic Main at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland. His areas of expertise include the treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, early-onset psychosis, and emerging adult stress. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, MS. He performed his residency in Psychiatry and his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
