Incident Description
At 9:40 AM on January 23, 2026, a contractor called to report that they had hit a force main just north of the intersection of Bunker Rd and Airport Rd. City crews responded and turned off 1 pump station and closed 2 valves, isolating and stopping the leak at 12:15. During this time, the City had 3 vactor trucks recovering spilled material and returning it to the collection system. The spill was contained on site, and no Waters of the State were impacted. The City estimates that 50,000 gallons were spilled, and around 40,000 gallons were recovered, and the rest soaked into the ground. The break was repaired at 14:45, and the area was washed down and limed.
