Incident Description
At 11:00 AM on February 26, 2026, a contractor called in stating that they hit our sewer line at the intersection of Kennedy and Williamston Blvd. City crew were dispatched and began isolating the 10″ force main. The spill was stopped at 1:45 PM and the repair was completed at 2:45 PM. Approximately 5,000 gallons was spilled and 2,500 was recovered. The remainder entered a near by storm inlet and into a storm pond. No waters of the State were impacted and the area was washed down after repairs were completed.
