HUGE issue with Lakeland Regional Hospital!!!!! My mother’s wife officially passed away last night, about midnight.
During the process, my mother was allowed to sign her DNR and make the decision to take her off the artificial life support, all without even once being asked for her identification, marriage certificate, or anything that would prove she had the authority to make these decisions.
HUGE issue folks!!!!!!!!
My mother was legit. And had that authority. What bothers me is that without any ID, someone could walk into the hospital and say, ” Yeah, I know them, take them off life support.
