Our 2026 election season is here, and there are many important political positions that will be greatly harmed if we do not vote wisely. Many of the weekly articles I provide to you (“Did You Know” series) not only keep you up to date on current events but also give you an in-depth understanding of the problems we all face as Floridians. Therefore, I am making three important voting recommendations: two I support and one I strongly recommend you DO NOT vote for.
First, I highly recommend that you vote for Glen Gibellina for Manatee County Commissioner in District 4. I have known Glen for 15 years and he has been a real advocate for average Manatee County residents. The man has been to nearly every Manatee County government meeting to speak out against government and corporate waste, corruption and overreach that not only wastes taxpayer dollars, but also harms our environment, and hurts the disadvantaged. I have travelled with Glen all throughout our state to help those wronged by our legal system, and I know that he will fight for justice for every Manatee County resident. If you want a compassionate, but no-nonsense representative that will fight for you, Glen is who you need to vote for.
Next, I also highly recommend that you vote for current State Representative, Berny Jacques in the 59th District/Pinellas County. Representative Jaques has become one of Florida’s premier representatives through his submission of bills that represent hard-working Floridians, and those who have suffered injury at the hands of criminals, such as HB 1159, which dealt with sexual offenses, and HB 277, which is related to domestic violence. Representative Jacques is a rising star in the House and has become a true champion for every Floridian who has been wronged. Representative Jacques will always go the extra mile to help his constituents.
Lastly, I ask that you DO NOT vote for Anthony Sabatini, who is running for Florida’s 11th Congressional District. The man is dangerous and only interested in self-promotion. Sabatini is not looking to benefit any Floridians or Americans. In the past, while he was a Florida legislator for District 32 from 2018-2022, he maliciously voted to deny Christian treatment providers the ability to provide services in the Batterer’s Intervention Program. Fortunately, this year, Governor DeSantis signed a bill into law reversing Sabatini’s sabotage of harming Christians’ right to help keep all Floridians safe. Every Floridian seeking treatment, whether medical, mental health, or otherwise, should have the right to choose whichever provider is right for them.
