The Lakeland Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) has announced that Tasty Tuesday is officially taking a “summer vacation” from June through August. The popular monthly tasting event will pause for the hottest months of the year and officially resume in September 2026.
According to the LDDA’s statement, the break follows a highly successful, packed season of downtown dining—joking that the turnout included “enough desserts to medically concern several cardiologists.”
Rather than just a simple break, the LDDA is calling the hiatus a “glow-up.” They will be working behind the scenes during the summer months to refresh and revamp the event experience.
