K-9 Ace has now been loaded into Tampa General Hospital Aeromed and is en route to receive advanced emergency veterinary trauma care.
This is an incredible program that only launched in February 2026. TGH’s Aeromed K-9 Program is the first of its kind in Florida and only the fourth in the nation, providing rapid helicopter transport and specialized pre-hospital trauma care for law enforcement K-9s injured in the line of duty.
K-9 Ace will be at the Animal Hospital at Lakewood Ranch for Emergency Trauma care.
Even more remarkable, the service is provided at no cost to the requesting law enforcement agency, ensuring injured K-9s can receive the fastest possible access to lifesaving care.
Tonight, Ace is receiving what is considered some of the best emergency trauma care available to K-9s in Florida.
