Tampa-based Moffitt Cancer Center has acquired 34 acres on Bartow Road in Lakeland for $12 million to construct its first outpatient center in Polk County.

Planned Services
The facility will serve as the anchor for Moffitt’s new Central Florida Campus, designed to reduce travel along I-4 for residents in Polk and Orange counties seeking care:
- Phase 1: Cancer screenings, diagnostic imaging, blood draw and clinical labs, radiation therapy, infusion services, medical oncology clinics, and access to clinical trials.
- Phase 2 (Future Expansion): An ambulatory surgery center alongside a dedicated wellness, research, and educational facility.
