Incident Description
At 1:00 PM on September 10, 2026, the City was notified of a possible line break near 1506 Olive Street. City crews responded and found a 14? force main leaking. Emergency repair contractor was notified and mobilized to site. Force main was exposed, and bypass pumps were installed at 9:30 PM to collect the spilled wastewater and return to the gravity system until a line stop with bypass could be installed. The line stop crew arrived on site at 7:00 AM on 9/11/2026 to install the stops. Once stops are in place, repair of the cracked force main will be completed. Approximately 13,000 gallons was released, and 7,000 gallons was recovered and returned to the collection system. The remainder entered Water of the State and sampling is underway. Once repairs are completed, the area will be cleaned up.
