Incident Description
Upon performing operational visit at approximately 2:50 pm on 08/14/2019; the operator found wastewater discharging over the top of the surge tank at the lowest point, Upon further review of the site, it was determined that the second surge tank pump failed to engage when the levels within the tank increased. The operator was able to get the second surge tank pump running, levels within the tank lowered, and the discharge ceased at approximately 3:30 pm The total volume loss during the event is estimated at 1500 gallons. The entire contents of the discharge were contained onsite. SWP 2019-4567
