It’s all the trees that came down in Polk County during hurricane Irma and Maria. Polk County Commissioners made a deal with owners of the property so they stacked and piled them 30+ feet high. Some of the stumps are 6 feet in diameter. There’s also a 40+ foot high pile of their sawdust mulch inventory about 300 feet long all ablaze.
And Polk Fire is allowing it just to burn. According to Polk Fire, they have already used over 5 million gallons of water.
