Gov. Ron DeSantis made two judicial appointments August 25.
Julie “JC” Hill of Winter Haven to serve as judge on the 10th Judicial Circuit Court
Hill has served as an assistant state attorney for the 10th Judicial Circuit since 2012. Previously, she served as an assistant public defender in the 13th Judicial Circuit. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and juris doctor from Chase College of Law. Hill fills the judicial vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Torea Spohr.
Allison Fox of Winter Haven to serve as judge on the Polk County Court
Fox has served as an assistant state attorney for the 10th Judicial Circuit since 2013. Previously, she served as a program attorney in the Fourth Judicial Circuit Guardian Ad Litem Program. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Smith College and juris doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law. Fox fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Mary Catherine Judge Green.
